About Me

Martha, a native of Austin, is a proud graduate of the University of Texas. After working for luxury jeweler David Yurman for several years, she left the fashion industry behind for a career in Texas state politics. Martha spent the better part of a decade serving as a policy analyst, political strategist, fundraiser, and Chief of Staff for several Members in the Texas House of Representatives. She was a strategic and successful fundraiser for several important campaigns based in Austin. Ready for a life change and for a return to the private sector, Martha and her husband Tim moved to San Miguel de Allende in 2016. During her time in San Miguel, Martha developed the lifestyle brand and blog, Luxepatriate, and has embraced her role as a mother to their daughter Beatrice. With deep ties to the community, Martha’s passion is helping others assimilate to life in San Miguel de Allende. She has renovated her family’s own property in San Miguel and has helped numerous expats make San Miguel their home.
